Do you ever find that, when you’re struggling the most, no one comes to mind to reach out to?

You get along with people.
You talk with them often.

But why does it still feel so hard
to share what’s really on your mind?

We’ve become used to saying,

“I’m fine.”“It’s nothing.”“I’m just a little tired.”

When hiding your feelings becomes comfortable,

there comes a point when
even you begin to lose sight of
what you’re truly feeling.

Often, what holds us back is fear.

Fear that if we open up,

others might feel burdened,
might not understand,
or that the relationship might become awkward.

So we choose silence instead.

But feeling understood begins not with explanations,

but with sharing.

The other person doesn’t need to have the perfect answer.

Sometimes, a simple,

“I see.”“That must have been hard.”

is enough to make us feel a little less alone.

Start by sharing something small.

You don’t need to reveal everything at once.

“I’ve been feeling a bit exhausted lately.”
“My mind has been more complicated than usual.”
“To be honest, today was harder than I expected.”

Even a single sentence like this is enough.

Relationships don’t grow deeper because of how much you reveal.

They grow deeper through consistency.

Not by pouring out your entire heart at once,

but through the gradual experience of

sharing a little,
and being understood a little.

That’s how a relationship becomes a safe place.

Today’s Small Practice

Think of one person you feel close to.

Then share just one sentence about a feeling you usually keep hidden.

“The truth is, I…”

That one sentence

might be the beginning of a deeper connection.
